Director of Finance opportunity – Long Island – Clear progression to CFO –$200,000 - $230,000 per annum.

An established and highly respected organization on Long Island are looking to recruit a Director of Finance on a permanent basis. The Director of Finance will work alongside senior leadership to ensure financial compliance and performance as well as implement and integrate financial strategies.

The Director of Finance opportunity is offering a salary between $200,000 - $230,000 per annum plus company specific benefits including bonus, investment opportunities, 401K, healthcare.

The key responsibilities of the Director of Finance will include:

- Leading a team of 10 individuals including day to day management, appraisals, hiring requirements etc

- Leading the company’s financial compliance to GAAP, taxation requirements,

industry specific reporting and internal financial controls

- Management reporting, analysis and articulation of financial performance to the organization

- Business partnering with key business unit owners

- Budgeting and forecasting in alignment with company specific plans

- Tax and audit process management at financial year end

- Ad hoc reporting and financial controls

To be considered candidates must:

- Hold a Bachelor’s degree within a financial/accounting discipline

- Have an active CPA licence

- Be willing to work onsite (Westbury Long Island) but with flexibility when needed

- Have experience and knowledge of the insurance sector

- Be a strong communicator

- Have good organizational and prioritization skills

- Be seeking a role with growth into a CFO position
