Job Purpose:

The Department's OIT is seeking the services of experienced Systems Analyst. The Candidates will be required to successfully complete tasks in relation to the Scope of Work.

Typically has three (3) to five (5) years of Information Technology (IT) work experience in infrastructure/network environments, performing network engineering (hardware and/or software), design, planning and implementation.

Primary Job Duties/Tasks:

Duties and Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Develop and maintain processes that optimize Active Directory performance.

Analyze server performance to identify resource contention and recommend changes or upgrades as needed to ensure optimization.

Perform Active Directory and Exchange management activities.

Develop and maintain technical specifications, standards, procedures, and systems documentation.

Work with data center staff, OIT, and users to perform server installations, upgrades, and configuration changes.

Inventory, document, install, and maintain applications on servers and assist users with access.

Analyze, troubleshooting, and resolve Windows Server issues with minimal impact on users.

Write PowerShell scripts to monitor server properties and perform Active Directory and Exchange management activities.

Administer server security as needed for OIT staff and users.

Research and recommend appropriate technical solutions to meet functional requirements.

Provide recommendations for possible process improvements within the Department s server team.

Create schedules for the development and implementation of specific software systems.

Develop system test plans to ensure software meets design criteria.

Perform additional System Analyst tasks as required by the Department.

About the Candidate:

Qualifications

A bachelor's Degree, from an accredited college/university, in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or four (4) years of equivalent work experience.

Required Experience

1. Five (5) or more years of Windows server administration experience.

2. Three (3) or more years administering Windows 2008 and 2012.

3. Five (5) or more years of Active Directory and Domain Name System (DNS) administration

experience in an enterprise environment with 1,000 or more users.

4. Experience writing, testing, and executing PowerShell scripts.

5. Experience working in a virtual server environment.

6. Experience installing, maintaining, and supporting third party applications.

Preferred Qualifications

The submitted candidate must be able to apply common knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:

1. Eight (8) or more years administering Server 2008/2012 Active Directory Domain Services.

2. Five (5) or more years of experience with Exchange Server Administration.

3. Two (2) or more years of experience with Office 365 Administration.

4. Experience managing mobile devices.

5. Experience preparing status reports and providing management briefings.

6. Knowledge of IT standards in a criminal justice environment.

7. Experience with servers and systems utilized in a criminal justice environment.
