Position:Recruitment and Retention CoordinatorStatus: Fulltime

Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday 

Reports to: Human Resources Manager 

Department: Human Resources

Recruitment and Retention Coordinator

We are seeking a talented and motivated Recruitment and Retention Coordinator to join our team. As the Recruitment and Retention Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in attracting, selecting, and retaining top talent to support our company's growth and success. This position requires a strategic mindset, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a passion for creating a positive candidate and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment

  • Collaborate with department managers to understand their staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies. 
  • Create and post job listings on various job boards, websites, and social media platforms. 
  • Assist in the interview process (as required), including filter applications, pre-screening applicants, and coordinating and conducting interviews.
  • Conduct reference checks and background screenings as required. 
  • Assist the new hire with all onboarding processes, including Verify employment eligibility.
  • Maintain an open position list and create weekly reports on status of position. 
  • Conduct reference and background inquires.
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, scheduling interviews, responding to emails. 
  • Build relationships with educational institutions, industry organizations, and other talent sources. 
  • Attend job fairs, networking events, and conferences to promote our company as an employer of choice.
  • Research best career sites for posting position.

Retention

  • Work closely with HR team members and department managers to identify and address employee retention issues.
  • Implement retention strategies, including employee engagement programs and career development initiatives.
  • Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Process termination paperwork

 Experience and Education:

  • University/College degreed preferred, with focus in Business, Sales, or Human Resources
  • Knowledge of employment legislature and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of HR resources and tools
  • Excellent technology skills, including use of Microsoft Office, ADP Workforce now, social media platforms.
  • Previous experience in administrative role. 
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • A passion for helping individuals and teams succeed.
  • Innovative thinking, bringing ideas to the table and a passion to build and grow the systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Uphold the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all interactions with candidates, employees, and external partners, fostering a positive and respectful work environment.

This job is a civilian position and does not require military service (including commission and enlistment)
