The PTR Assembler ensures that assembling requirements are fulfilled in accordance with the production instructions received, assemblies the product in accordance with approved procedures and assembly instructions. Verifies that materials used and the assembled part meets product and process specifications. The Assembler works under the direct supervision of a Lead Assembler and/or Production Supervisor to satisfy work assignments.
Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
Install power take offs on a variety of heavy duty trucks
Install back up alarms, auxiliary lighting, and D.O.T. lighting
Install plumbing and valves
Install hydraulic systems
Route all electric and air control lines
Mount tank on chassis
Check parts and pack tank kits
Take precision measurements to ensure perfect fit of components
Align material and put together parts to build more complex units
Keep records of production quantities and time
Report on issues, malfunction or defective parts
Produce high quality products and services for our customers.
Previous mechanical and electrical experience
Responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area.
Complete production build of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements.
Relies on work instructions and pre-established processes to perform the functions of the job.
Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity and the ability to work using a microscope
Proven experience as assembler
Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints, drawings etc.
Ability in using tools (e.g. clamps) and machines (e.g. presses)
Good understanding of hydraulics and electrical assembly
Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
Understand proper crane operation and rigging techniques
