Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Correctional Officer at the Arkansas Department of Corrections located in Wrightsville, Arkansas at The Wrightsville Complex. As a Correctional Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the correctional facility, monitoring and supervising inmates, enforcing rules and regulations, conducting searches, and responding to incidents or emergencies. You will also be involved in disciplinary procedures, rehabilitation programs, and providing support to inmates.

Qualifications

  • Work Ethic
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Training and experience in handling firearms and self-defense techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm in stressful situations
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical conduct
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
