The Product Specialist (PS) is the expert for a technical development or execution environment product or set of products. The primary responsibility of a Product Specialist is to ensure the availability and facilitate the productive use of a product for Application Teams or end users. The Product Specialist may own part of a product, all of one, or several products depending on the nature of the product(s) and their use. The Product Specialist requires significant to expert experience and skills in the product supported. The Product Specialist will usually also have significant experience in the operating environment(s) (e.g., Client/UX, NT, MVS, etc.) on which the product is implemented. If the product is one that was internally developed, the supporting PS should also have most of the skills of a Programmer. The Product Specialist is responsible for collaborating with Technical Architecture Specialist, System Specialists, Programmers and vendors to ensure and enhance the use of the product and effect migration to new versions of a product.
This position will provide technical support for DelDOT's client Peoplesoft environment, specifically for the Human Resources side. It will be hybrid (in office with some telecommuting as well)
Knowledge of PeopleSoft 9.2 Tools 8.59 image 40 system functionality
Experience with Production Support for HCM modules: Candidate Gateway, Talent Acquisition Manager, Absence Management, Benefits, Payroll, Workforce Admin, Workforce Development, Organizational Development, Administer Training, and Labor Relations.
o Research and resolve Ben Admin event maintenance errors for successful completion of the snapshot conversation and 834 interface file.
Assess the current Absence Management configuration and implement necessary changes to resolve issues, eliminate manual processes and utilize PeopleSoft-delivered functionality to design efficient procedures for administering leave entitlements/accruals for multiple sets of rules and eligibility among four Collective Bargaining Units
o Implement/Deploy Retroactive transaction processing for leave request
o Review configuration for an update for non-standard work schedules.
o Implement Delegate Framework for Absence Request
o Configure delivered functionality to reduce manual efforts
Work in a techno-functional capacity with a good understanding of business processes and PeopleSoft Table Structure to deploy new system functionality to better automate business procedures
Collaborate with the DTC PSoft Admin Team to provide analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment for new system functionality from recent image updates and Tools Upgrade
Experience with PeopleCode, SQR, SQL, Query, and App Designer
Understanding of systems development lifecycle methodologies; upcoming implementations include ePerformance, ELM, and re-implementation of Labor Relations
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines
