Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are met
- Train, supervise, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality performance
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure efficient and effective housekeeping services
- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints in a professional and timely manner
- Maintain a positive working relationship with staff and promote a team-oriented environment
- Housekeeping Supervisor may be required to clean guest rooms should the need arise.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of custodial and housekeeping practices, including industrial cleaning techniques
- Previous experience in hospitality or hotel housekeeping management preferred
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with staff at all levels
- Knowledge of floor care techniques and equipment
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
