Arizona is Hiring a Sr. Associate AD, Strategic Operations Near Tucson, AZ
Strategic Planning and Implementation: Lead efforts to build the Athletics division strategic plan. Collaborate with the Director of Athletics, senior leadership team, coaches, student-athlete and staff to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives aligned with the goals and objectives of University of Arizona Athletics.
Strategic Partnerships and External Relations: Collaborate with external stakeholders, including university administration, alumni, donors, and community partners, to support fundraising efforts and enhance the visibility and reputation of University of Arizona Athletics.
Operational Management: Creates and implements plans to meet Athletics division goals by leading the day-to-day operations of University of Arizona Athletics, including facilities management, event operations, equipment services, and administrative support functions.
Facilities and Event Management: Oversee the maintenance and scheduling of athletic facilities, as well as the planning and execution of athletic events and competitions.
Lead Diversity & Inclusion program in the Athletics Division with the strategic objective of leading the AAU universities in diversity in coaching staff and leadership. Liaison with the University's Diversity & Inclusion office and the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.
Financial Management: Collaboratively oversee the budgeting process and financial operations of select sports and units under this position’s areas of responsibilities, ensuring fiscal responsibility and alignment with organizational priorities.
Partner with members from the following University centralized divisions to provide expertise, resources and timely communication to ensure the athletics department has the necessary tools, policies and guidance to succeed:
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with university policies, and ethical standards, while effectively managing risks associated with athletic operations.
Human Resources: Foster a culture of excellence, professionalism, continuous improvement, and professional development
Technology and Innovation: Leverage technology and innovation to enhance operational efficiency, and improve fan engagement. Oversee local athletics IT services in coordination with University Information Technology Services.
Student-Athlete Experience: Support the holistic development and well-being of student-athletes by providing resources and support services to promote academic success, personal growth, and athletic achievement.
Specifically:
Sport oversight as assigned.
Lead special projects as assigned, including an analysis of NIL opportunities within the department of athletics.

Deep understanding of the collegiate sports landscape and the unique challenges and opportunities within the Power 4 landscape.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, as well as best practices in athletic administration and operations.
