1. Strategic Planning:
   • Develop and implement an IT strategy aligned with Cooperative Extension's goals and objectives.
   • Collaborate with senior management and division IT personnel to identify priorities and create long-term technology roadmaps.
2. Infrastructure Management:
   • Manage Extension’s IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, storage, and telecommunications systems across the state in the county offices, in conjunction with division and university IT personnel.
   • Evaluate and implement appropriate hardware and software solutions to meet organizational needs.
   • Plan and execute regular system upgrades, maintenance, and patch management.
   • Monitor and optimize network and system security, implementing necessary measures to protect against cybersecurity threats.
3. User Support and Training:
   • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
   • Collaborate with staff and faculty to understand their technology requirements and provide effective solutions.
   • Develop and deliver training programs to enhance end-user skills and promote IT literacy.
   • Ensure the availability of documentation and self-help resources for users.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong technical knowledge across a wide range of IT disciplines, including infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, and systems administration.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse group of IT professionals.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work well under pressure.
• Familiarity with Cooperative Extension or a similar educational institution is a plus.
