Arizona is Hiring a Grant and Contract Analyst Near Tucson, AZ

Duties & responsibilities:

·Works directly with campus to review and analyze external funding proposals and budgets for allowable, allocable, completeness and compliance within the framework of applicable guidelines.

·Prioritize and coordinate shared workload to meet work unit operation deadlines.

·Obtain signature authority for submission of proposals on behalf of the University.

·Provide expert advice and support to faculty and staff with sponsored contract and grant issues, interpreting federal, state, sponsor and University regulations, policies and procedures. Assists in the development and submission of large, complex proposals such as program projects, interdisciplinary research centers, multidisciplinary university research initiatives, etc.

·Use multiple online systems for proposal management.

·Advise and assist with preparation of proposal applications and budgets including creating and presenting training materials for research faculty and staff for preaward activities.

·Advise University faculty and business staff on University proposal routing and sponsor submission procedures. Assists faculty and departmental staff with preaward questions and issues of a more complex nature, and assists in the delivery of high-level support to faculty and departmental staff in regards to preaward and activities.

·Additional duties may be assigned

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

·Capacity to learn and work independently, including in a remote work environment

·Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing

·Organization and time management skills

·Attention to detail and follow-through

·Knowledge of accounting and budgetary theories, principles and practices

·Proficiency with computer systems; particularly Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Adobe PDF. Ability to learn new systems and adapt to changes

·Understanding of Uniform Guidance Principals

·Ability to pivot to team and submission priorities
