Arizona is Hiring a Director, LCME Accreditation, Academic Affairs (College of Medicine - Phoenix) Near Phoenix, AZ

  • Lead accreditation and Continuing Quality Improvement (CQI) for the College of Medicine-Phoenix, which involves: 
    • Collaboratively setting and executing on long- and short-term team goals and accreditation standards and elements.
    • Timely and consistent management of assigned projects.
    • Supervision and guidance of manager(s) and project coordinator(s) in the accreditation and CQI teams. 
    • Working collaboratively with other departments and offices at the College of Medicine Phoenix and the University, including external consultants and related resources.
    • Serve as a key thought partner with the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Affairs.
  • Set strategic and tactical direction for accreditation-related projects and processes to drive quality improvement and mitigate LCME compliance risk.
  • Assist the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Affairs in setting and executing strategic initiatives for Academic Affairs and the College of Medicine-Phoenix.
  • Assist the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Affairs in the planning of CQI for the College of Medicine-Phoenix.
  • Oversee the effectiveness and execution of school’s CQI plan, directing the collection, assessment, synthesis, and interpretation of pertinent data. Responsible for prioritizing and facilitating initiatives that drive innovative approaches to meet QI goals. 
  • Prepare and present accreditation and CQI reports to the Dean, Academic Affairs, committees, and other departments and offices at the College of Medicine-Phoenix, and the university, as requested.
  • Partner with the school’s Faculty Accreditation Lead to prepare for cyclical accreditation survey visits, including designing and staffing the self-study process, and drafting formal reports to the LCME as required.
  • Maintain expertise in evolving accreditation requirements, ensuring compliance is documented and processed in accordance with established timelines and policy. 
  • Develop and deliver training or briefing materials and serve on various educational and other school governance committees, providing internal consulting on LCME/CQI-related matters as they arise.
  • Ensure timely submission of data requests from the University to the Medical School in support of regional accreditation processes, and from the Medical School to the University for national accreditation.
  • Contribute to other Institutional effectiveness projects and initiatives as needed and requested by the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Affairs.
  • Assist the Learning Environment Office (LEO) in the College of Medicine-Phoenix in an administrative capacity, and work with the LEO consultant as needed and requested by the Senior Associate Dean, Academic Affairs. 
  • Participate in regular LCME-sponsored conference calls, regional meetings, etc., to maintain a current understanding of LCME standards and interpretation of applicable requirements.
  • Serve as the principal administrative contact for LCME consultants and the LCME Secretariat's Office, and ensure College of Medicine-Phoenix stakeholder responsiveness, and follow up on LCME consultant/secretariat requests.
  • Provide oversight for any ongoing required communications, reporting, and corrective action plans emanating from the LCME re-accreditation process.
  • Supervise, lead, train, and monitoring the activities of assigned staff.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
