• Research, develop, implement, and monitor the success of career development programming for Master’s and Doctoral Students. Advise Graduate College Management on progress, make recommendations for improvements and implement solutions.
• Conduct needs assessments, create reports to guide career support programming, and lead grant submissions on national trends in professional development.
• Develop and teach core career workshops (career exploration and planning, resume, interviewing, CV, networking, negotiating a contract, resilience strategies), seminars, and for-credit experiences that prepare applicants for non-academic and academic jobs— specifically focusing on students across disciplines.
• Collaborate across campus on the development of career-focused grants that further support graduate students in multiple career pathways. In addition, facilitate the incorporation of professional development training into institutional training grants and individual student fellowships.
• Explore new resources, training opportunities, and industry and institutional best practices and benchmarking in service delivery models for graduate career advising.

Individualizedstudent support 40%

• Assist graduate students in analyzing their interests and skills, developing career goals, and progressing through the career planning, decision making, and job searching processes in multiple employment pathways.
• Facilitate monthly career readiness programs to ensure in-time support for individual graduate students preparing to enter the job market.
• Provide career advising and coaching specifically for advanced degree students, requiring specialized knowledge of the PhD hiring landscape across disciplines and industries.

Outreach to employersand campus faculty 20%

• Develop campus-wide outreach to colleges and graduate program faculty and staff that mentor graduate students on careers in various job sectors outside of academia.
• Creating new and sustaining existing relationships with employers and alumni to identify job and internship opportunities, generate partnerships, and enhance graduate career education.
• Develop, implement, and monitor the success of digital resources and effective strategies for communicating across all constituencies.
• Support graduate programs on the development and implementation of embedding career competencies into the curriculum.
