SALARY:

$41,322 – 43,801 per year, depending on experience. Plus, excellent fringe benefits

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

Associate Degree in instructional technology, computer applications, multimedia production, or related area.

Two years of recent experience in a setting working with various types of computer software and hardware and multi-media applications.

Preferred:

Bachelor's degree in instructional technology, computer applications, multimedia production, or related area.

Classification:

Exempt

Position Type & Work Schedule:

Full-time-12 months

Monday-Thursday, 7:00am - 5:00pm

May include some Fridays, evenings, and weekends

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Successful and effective leadership experience in higher education.

Strong project management skills which include problem-solving and decision-making.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Ability to use computer information systems for data collection, reporting, and analysis.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to relate well to diversified student and instructional staff.

Knowledge of current computer software packages. Considerable knowledge of current computer creative and production software applications.

Ability to work with non-technical clients and students and translate content into multimedia products in formats including but not limited to video and audio.

Demonstrated ability to work as part of a project team. Ability to remain calm under pressure. Active listening skills.

Work Environment:

Indoor office, normal noise levels

May move from building to building

Physical Demands:

Sitting for prolonged periods of time, using a computer monitor

Walking on campus from building to building

Travel:

May travel from campus to campus at times

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:

The Learning Management Coordinator serves as support for leadership and faculty. The Learning Management Coordinator supports faculty through the development of course content in the campus learning management system and instructional technology tools utilized in the learning environment.

TYPICAL DUTIES:

Serves Students. Support students in the use of course technology. Collaborates with the virtual instruction team to support faculty in virtual teaming, technology for the classroom, and the campus learning management system.

Assists faculty and staff with options for presenting instructional materials or presentations using a variety of software applications including, but not limited to Camtasia, Wlmba Voice Tools, Photoshop, podcasting, videoconferencing, digital cameras, and audio/video editing software.

In collaboration with appropriate department staff assists with the administration of the Learning Management System. This includes creating, backing up, and restoring courses and managing user and course accounts.

Under the direction of the Director of Teaching and Learning, assists in the review of all courses to verify compliance with established standards and expectations. Creates reports showing the review of all courses for verification purposes.

Collaborates with the instructional Development team to support faculty in virtual learning, technology for the classroom, and the campus learning management system.

Provides support to faculty and students with technology in the classroom, as needed.

Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.
