ARIZONA TRAINING & EVALUATION CENTER INC is Hiring a DTA Program Supervisor (Adult Services Supervisor) Near Peoria, AZ

We are a non-profit organization working with adults with Developmental Disabilities (DD) in Peoria, Arizona. We are currently looking to hire a Full-Time Adult Services Supervisor to be responsible for the coordination and follow-up of programs and services necessary to fulfill the goals and objectives as identified in the Person-Centered Service Plan (PCSP). Responsible for the follow-up through direct observation, to ensure program plans and program management procedures are followed and implemented as required. Direct participation in PCSP and responsible for the supervision of DTA employees and to oversee operations of the Adult Services Program. Responsible for a variety of tasks, to ensure the safety and welfare of members in compliance with Arizona Department of Economic Security - Division of Developmental Disabilities (DES-DDD) Licensing Regulations.

Skills/Abilities/Duties:

  • Management and monitoring of daily operations and overseeing Direct Support Employees in the DTA program.
  • Provide all aspects of supervision through verbal and written administrative guidance to employees.
  • As needed, conduct professional meetings and document contents of all discussions relevant to duties and performances of employees, progress of or reports regarding members and administrative communications.
  • Provide training and supervision for the members to increase their socialization and adaptive skills to successfully participate in the community.
  • Responsible for the supervision and coordination of transportation to and from the Adult Services Program.
  • Maintain all program files for assigned members in an orderly and updated manner.
  • Complete monthly progress reports for all DTA members.
  • Complete phase changes on programs, according to current programmatic guidelines.
  • Attend member PCSP meetings, develop appropriate member PCSP goals and ensure they are carried out.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with families, employees, DDD/Support Coordinators, and the public
  • Skills in operating a computer, scanner, and copy machines.
  • Microsoft/Excel proficient.
  • Answering calls/emails .
  • Ability to speak clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage stressful situations and provide clear direction.
  • Ability to multi-tasking and be detail oriented.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instruction.
  • Ability to keep up in a fast-paced environment


Physical:

Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance. This position may require lifting/moving fifty (50) pounds several times a day on a daily basis. Must be able to physically perform CPR and other First Aid skills. Must be able to physically implement Prevention and Support techniques as needed. Must be physically able to stoop, bend, twist, reach, stretch, and be on one’s feet for extended periods.

Driving:

Must drive AZTEC vehicles in a safe and defensive manner, abiding by all Arizona Department of Transportation laws, as well as applicable AZTEC Administrative Policies. Must maintain an Arizona Class D driver's license and satisfactory driving record in personnel file.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • CPR, First Aid, Article 9 and Prevention and Support Training. AZTEC offers all required training classes.
  • A valid Arizona Driver's License and a clear 36-month Arizona Motor Vehicle Report Required
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Full-Time Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Pay: $20 per hour

Experience:

  • Prefer an Associates Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in rehabilitation, psychology, or a related field.
  • Direct experience in the field of developmental disabilities is a major prerequisite. Minimum requirement - High school diploma or G.E.D. Certification.
  • Previous experience working with members with disabilities in a vocational program is desirable; at least two years previous work experience. Successful experience in related programs preferred.

  • Ability to relate effectively with members, parents/guardians, and AZTEC personnel. Organizational ability to plan and execute programs. Ability to gather and evaluate facts. Ability to prepare clear, concise written reports. Maintain records, attention to detail, high degree of rationality, inventiveness. Ability to supervise and monitor the activities of others. Ability to maintain a favorable and stimulating learning environment.
  • Ability to provide positive role modeling to individuals receiving services and support, and ability to implement techniques and concepts as trained by agency.
  • Ability to perform essential duties of position. Ability to successfully complete and reinforce mandatory training requirements as established by the agency and DES-DDD. Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Must have own vehicle in good working condition.
