SUMMARY

The Arizona Science Center (ASC) has recently launched a three-year Strategic Plan designed to Enrich all Communities and Audiences through Science. There are three pillars to this plan:

  • Heighten position as an organization of choice.
  • Raise Arizona Science Center profile and presence throughout the state.
  • Enhance the relevance and impact of programming and exhibits.

Further to heightening ASC’s position as the organization of choice is our priority to make “Informed Impactful Decisions.” The Tessitura system is an important tool in the execution of this priority.

The Arizona Science Center is currently on the hosted version of Tessitura 15.1.2. The system is widely used throughout the organization for admissions, program revenue, and contributed revenue supported by Monday.com as a scheduler. ASC currently employs TNEW for its online sales, but we will be phasing out TNEW with the introduction of a new website.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Fulfills day-to-day user help requests while escalating advanced issues to the Senior Analytics Officer.
  • Supports departments with reports, lists, extractions, output sets, and more.
  • Cleans and maintains the database including system tables and constituent records to ensure smooth operation and reliable reporting year-round.
  • Manage seasonal administrative tasks including performance setup and maintenance, source/promo codes, GL accounts, seating capacities, and price types per Tessitura’s recommended best practices.
  • Maintains TNEW buildouts as well as buildouts associated with the new website in coordination with the Web Developer and Marketing team to support transactional integrations between the website and Tessitura API.
  • Familiar with and can support users across with the organization with diverse use cases (educators, ticket sellers, donor relations, etc.).
  • Can use list manager or other methodology to audit the database and ensure reconciliation between Tessitura and the general ledger, Financial Edge NXT.
  • Assist other departments with issues or new project rollouts that require Tessitura action.
  • Document standard operating procedures and custom configurations to preserve institutional knowledge related to Tessitura.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to staff as it relates to Tessitura tasks and operations.
  • Remain current on all updates and advancements in Tessitura capabilities and functionalities and inform others.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of direct experience with Tessitura System is a must, as well as a well-rounded knowledge of the Tessitura System and its various use applications and maintenance requirements.
  • Experience with SQL is a plus but not required.
  • Experience with cleaning and analyzing data with Microsoft Excel is a plus but not required.
