Arizona's Children Association is Hiring a Bilingual Kinship Navigator Near Phoenix, AZ

Position Summary:

The Kinship Navigator works with kinship caregivers to provide a range of services and promote kinship care initiatives. This position is responsible for working with the KARE Program (specialized population) and its kinship caregivers, groups, organizations, and institutions to increase kinship awareness, involvement in development of kinship resources, system navigation and development processes, and work with stakeholders for the betterment of kinship care.

What You’ll Do:

  • Organizes and coordinates meetings specific to the kinship population.
  • Supports kinship caregivers, groups, organizations, and institutions with identifying assets and needs. Nurtures emerging kinship caregiver leadership.
  • Acts as a liaison between community building initiatives, bringing together people and programs to work alongside kinship caregivers.
  • Shares data and provides access to information about the kinship care. Collects and shares stories about kinship care and the building process.
  • Prepares monthly activity summaries and other appropriate reports for program and grant requirements.
  • Develops programs and educational materials for kinship care, and delivers trainings on kinship issues to a variety of audiences.
  • Provides screening and assessment, case management, information and referral; organizes events; and facilitates support groups for kinship families.

Minimum Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree and 2 years related experience in the child welfare or behavioral health field OR Master's degree and less than 2 years of related experience
  • Relevant Degree includes the following degrees: Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling and Child Development. Other degrees may be considered with at least 20 Credit hours from an accredited university in the previously referenced degree specialty.

Minimum Qualification & Requirements:

  • *Bilingual in Spanish/English (Additional pay for bilingual candidates!)
  • Must be 21 years of age (licensing requirement)
  • Possess a valid Arizona driver's license and be insurable under the agency's automobile policy.
  • Must be able to provide own transportation for business related purposes
  • Must be able to provide DPS fingerprint clearance.
  • Must be able to meet training and agency compliance requirements for the position.

Pay: $41,600.00 - $48,360.00 per year
