GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our healthcare facility as a Healthcare Janitor. The primary responsibility of this role is to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in both office spaces and Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC) to ensure a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
What you'll do:
Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting in designated areas, including offices, waiting rooms, hallways, restrooms, and surgical suites. Ensure all surfaces are properly sanitized and disinfected according to healthcare regulations and protocols.
Restocking Supplies: Monitor and replenish janitorial and sanitation supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and disinfectants as needed. Keep inventory of cleaning products and notify appropriate personnel when supplies need to be replenished.
Floor Care: Maintain cleanliness and safety of floors by mopping spills, buffing and waxing floors, and operating floor cleaning equipment. Follow established procedures for handling and disposing of biohazardous materials.
Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect and clean janitorial equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and other cleaning tools. Report any malfunctioning equipment or maintenance issues to the appropriate supervisor.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other staff members, including nurses, physicians, and administrative personnel, to maintain cleanliness standards and address any cleaning-related concerns or requests promptly.
Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles, preferably in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
• Familiarity with healthcare sanitation standards and regulations is desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
