Contract Dog Trainer

Are you a skilled dog trainer who is passionate about force-free training methods and want to help people and pets? We would love to work with you!

Arizona Humane Society offers Public Pet Training and behavior support to pet owners in Arizona. We offer group classes (Basics, Reactive Rover, and more!), private in-person lessons, and virtual consultations.

What we're looking for:

For group classes: Certified dog trainers who have experience with obedience, basic manners, reactive dog training, and/or specialty classes and seminars

For private lessons: Certified dog trainers who have experience working with common behaviors such as anxiety, fear, excitability, and reactivity

Not certified but have years of experience? Submit an application!

What we offer:

• We'll do the scheduling for you - We'll gather information from clients ahead of time (behavior concerns, history of dog, etc.) so you don't have to do the administrative work!

• Flexibility in your hours - You can work as much or as little as you want!

• Travel to areas - We are looking for someone willing to travel within 30-40 miles from the Central Phoenix area (from 16th St. & Indian School).

Education / Certifications / Licenses:

• Certifications including CPTD-KA, CBCC-KA, KPA-CTP, CDBC, ABCDT, CTC preferred but experience may substitute for certifications.
• High school diploma / GED preferred
• Must carry own liability insurance
• Must be 21 years old
• Valid Driver's License
