ARIZONA GENERAL HOSPITAL

Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations via the mobile stroke program. Position requires providing service to one or more age groups including young adults through geriatric patients in a manner that demonstrates an understanding of the functional/developmental age of the individual served. Position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. 

No two days in emergency nursing are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity while you’re providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients by performing IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions. 

To thrive as an ER nurse, you should exhibit teamwork, professionalism, critical thinking skills, and a willingness to take on additional projects such as patient experience initiatives. More than anything, you should be energetic and motivated to provide quality care to all of our patients, maintaining their dignity at every step.

Minimum:

• AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• American Heart Association ACLS certification
• American Heart Association PALS certification (within 30 days of hire)
• Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be a problem solver
• Must show genuine kindness and compassion for every individual that enters our hospital

Preferred:

• Two (2) years recent ED experience preferred.
• BSN
