System Operator I
Arizona G&T Cooperatives is seeking candidates for the position of System Operator I in Benson, AZ. This position will be responsible for acquiring the necessary job skills to perform real-time operations of Bulk Power Systems (BPS) performing real-time actions during normal and emergency conditions to ensure the stable and reliable operation of the Bulk Electric System (BES).
A System Operator I will be required, within 9 months, to obtain a NERC Certification (BT or RC) and within an additional 6 months to complete AEPCO / NERC Qualification Card.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following :
Minimum requirements are a High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field is preferred.
Four years of prior work experience in one of the following areas or a combination of the following areas :
Successful candidates should also have High level of critical thinking skills, high level of multi-tasking abilities, above average mathematical aptitude, high level of communication skills including 3-part communications, and reasonable mechanical aptitude.
Candidates must have the ability to pass 7-Year background check.
Salary : $5,977.42 - $7,471.75 / monthly (Salary and Level will be dependent upon education and experience)
