Arizona College of Nursing is seeking a Financial Aid Officer to join our growing Las Vegas, Nevada campus!

Once fully trained in the role, this position offers a hybrid schedule (Monday - Friday, three days onsite, two days work from home).

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Financial Aid Director, your main responsibility will be assisting Arizona College students in all aspects of the financial aid process and to help ensure the school receives financial aid funds in a timely fashion.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Counseling students in order to determine their eligibility for Title IV funding, institutional loans, agency assistance, scholarships, and Federal Work Study
  • Answering questions and providing continued support to students throughout the financial aid process via a variety of communication methods
  • Supporting the success of continuing and new students by helping them understand and overcome personal, social, and behavioral problems affecting their educational or vocational situations
  • Responsible for meeting assigned productivity goals

What We Need From You:

To perform this job successfully, an applicant must have professional demeanor, the ability to work independently, understand goals and deadlines and possess excellent communication and organizational skills.

Must have:• Minimum of three years’ financial aid experience or equivalent skills and experience or equivalent skills and experience. • A professional demeanor and a customer service mindset. • A high degree of professionalism and discretion when dealing with confidential information.• Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in an extremely dynamic environment.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Proficient computer skills to include knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).• Ability to enroll in NSLDS.

Nice to have:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent skills and experience.

• Proficiency in the Spanish language
