Hybrid Remote Opportunity – 2 days in office / 3 days at home – (9am-6:00pm or 9:30am-6:00pm)

What You'll Do:

Reporting to the Manager of Financial Aid, the main responsibility of the Financial Aid Officer, Document Intake is assisting Arizona College of Nursing (College) students in all aspects of the financial aid process and ensuring continuing students receive the best funding available to them and that all funding is processing accurately and timely.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Answer student inquiries regarding financial aid topics such as Title IV funding, campus-based aid, VA funding, verification, payment plans, and state grants.
  • Communicate with students and colleagues by secure methods including email, inbound and outbound calls, texting, and others as available within the College.
  • Guide students through the completion of their financial documents (i.e., FAFSA, Master Promissory Note, Entrance Counseling, verification docs, etc.) over the phone with friendliness and patience.
  • Ensure serviced students understand the responsibilities and obligations tied to Student Loan Repayment.
  • While on the phone with students, review the cost of attendance and tentative financial aid awards, including reviewing monthly payment arrangements when applicable.
  • Proactively and promptly contact students with outstanding missing documents.
  • Provide impeccable customer service to all students and customers.
  • Notate all documentation received in required systems.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate student financial aid files.
  • Verify student eligibility for Title IV funding.
  • Communicate with colleagues quickly and consistently to ensure timely review of student’s financial aid file upon completion of required documentation.
  • Communicate with campuses regarding student financial aid eligibility and documents needed for certification of Title IV funding.
  • Respond to voicemails within 24 hours, respond to emails within 48 hours.

What We Need From You:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Must have:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent skills and experience.
  • One year experience in a customer service role.
  • Exceptional ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task in an extremely dynamic environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills to include knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and SharePoint).

Nice to have:

  • Prior financial aid experience
  • Proficiency in the Spanish.
