Ariva Homes is looking for enthusiastic people who want to join and help lead our Construction Team in Laredo, TX. This is NOT an Entry Level position, but a LEADERSHIP position. We’re looking for qualified candidates with demonstrated success in people and operational management.

Position Summary

The Production Manager will be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of reports for the division relating to production.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the weekly updating of inventory status reports, production, and turnover reports.
  • Develop, maintain, and monitor annual department Indirect Budgets by subdivision and division, review monthly indirect tracking reports, and compare to budget by line item to report to President.
  • Provides overall staff direction training and guidance to field superintendents to meet budget, schedule, and company’s overall performance goals.
  • Coordinate with Division Purchasing Manager, Architect, and Estimator on product design and development and overall day-to-day operations.
  • Plan, organize, and staff key field positions to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Schedule, assign, and direct the work of construction staff & ensures jobs are completed on time and within budget
  • Determine specifications performed by sub-contractors, job objectives, schedules, and budget considerations.
  • Responsible for negotiating the terms and conditions of sub-contractor labor and material pricing.
  • Responsible for sub-contractor quality control, vendor quality control, and material conformance to required standards.
  • Oversees the hiring, management, and development of Construction team members within their communities.
  • Carry out policies, procedures, and performance standards that are in place, update and if necessary, develop new policies in keeping with the company’s mission and objectives.
  • Responsible for implementing and managing software scheduling, selection software, and technology tools to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Any other duties as may be required by corporate executives.
  • Monitors weekly payroll & signs off on all variances.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred 
  • Experience/knowledge of construction, design, financial reports, and management is required.
  • Management of multiple locations and being able to speak the Spanish language is a plus.
  • Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
  • Organized with strong attention to detail & maintain a safe & clean job site environment.
  • A thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, building codes, and their impact on construction activities is vital.
  • Dynamic, team player self-starter, and results-oriented. 
  • Requires superior communication and interpersonal skills such as tact, and diplomacy, and the ability to influence and motivate. 
  • Computer and technology skills must include Excel, Word, and Outlook as well as experience with enterprise software and building technology tools. 
  • Must be a business-oriented person, able to interface with professionals, city officials, inspectors, difficult customers, and company executives. 
  • Strong analytical, organizational, delegation, and time management skills to set priorities and meet assigned deadlines. 
  • Strong complex problem-solving, critical thinking, judgment, and decision-making. 
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal) and presentation skills.
