- Delivering activities to residents in order to maximize their enjoyment and participation in recreational activities such as games, crafts, exercise, etc.
- Maintaining a safe environment and assisting residents with activities in a courteous and timely manner
- Encouraging residents to participate in meaningful activities
- Accurately documents program attendance and individual resident interactions
- Participating in Resident Council Meetings as needed to assist the Recreation Director
- High school or equivalent
- Must relate well with the residents and facility staff.
- At least one year of experience in recreation in a geriatric setting or in a health care facility.
