I. Purpose of the Job:

· To provide biblical teaching and discipleship in the Arise Church elementary aged classroom on Sunday mornings through the implementation of the order of service and curriculum-based lessons provided by Arise Kids Director.

II. Experience and Knowledge Required:

· Must be a Born-Again Christian and Disciple of Jesus Christ

· Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills

· A love and calling toward ministry to children and families

· A love for God’s Word

· Experience with teaching as well as developing and creating exciting ways for kids to learn biblical and gospel truths

· Problem solving skills

· Ability to learn and use Planning Center software

· Experience and high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with a particular emphasis on follow-through and attention to detail

· Ability to think and act independently with a high degree of professionalism, discretion and confidentiality

· Ability to ask appropriate questions, probe for understanding, and work in collaboration with others to achieve desired results.

· Must be a strong communicator and presenter with excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills

· Knowledgeable and functional in technical writing, including consistent and correct use of tense, grammar/spelling and terminology that is interesting and varied

· Strong proof-reading skills to produce error-free documents

III. Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

· Oversee and implement the programming and ministry for elementary classroom at Arise Church

· Serve as a primary communicator in elementary class on Sundays

· Train and develop Arise Kids Dream Team volunteers to assist in ministry within the elementary classroom.

· Participate in Arise Kids events such as VBS and Fun Days

· Build relationships with the parents at Arise Church to establish trust, communication and a family ministry culture

· Maintain a healthy spiritual life to include a consistent reading of God’s Word and a personal prayer life.

· Respond to emergencies/urgent issues as they arise

· Respond to emails, texts and phone calls within 24 -hour time frame

IV. Other Duties and Responsibilities:

· Running miscellaneous errands or assisting Arise Kid’s Director as requested.

VI. Extent of Public Contact:

· Weekly contact with Kids Director

· Arise Pastors and Staff Members

· Very visible role with children and families of Arise Kids, as well as, Arise Kids Dream Team

VII. Supervisory Responsibilities:

· Dream Team Elementary Class Volunteers

Job Types: Part-time, Per diem

Pay: $100.00 per day

Expected hours: 4 per week
