ARISE is looking for a highly motivated, self-directed person with a passion for helping change policy and the physical environment by working with community leaders, elected officials, businesses, providers, community advocates and others to remove access barriers for people who have disabilities. Conduct and coordinate activities in the community that will result in systems change to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities. Create improved access to education, employment, health care, commerce, recreation, and citizen participation. Provide education and technical assistance to the community. Work is concentrated in Onondaga County but may require occasional travel to Madison, Oswego, and Cayuga Counties
