Arisa Health is Hiring a Medical Record Specialist - Springdale Near Springdale, AR

Arisa Health is growing and we are looking to add a Medical Records Specialist to our team in Springdale. The position will be responsible for managing clients' health records and history. This includes creating digital copies of client paperwork and scanning/storing documents in the electronic health record and imaging paper charts and records into the electronic health record.

Arisa Health is Arkansas' largest and most comprehensive nonprofit behavioral health provider. Formed by the affiliation of 4 long-standing Arkansas community mental health centers, Arisa Health leads with exceptional care that nurtures health and well-being for all. Arisa provides outpatient services, Crisis services and emergency screening, substance abuse counseling, intensive children services, intensive adult services, medical services, and residential services in 41 Arkansas counties.

This position is classified as full-time, non-exempt (hourly) and reports to the Health Information Manager.

Work Hours: Full time, Monday - Friday; 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What our Medical Records Specialists do:

  • Create digital copies of scanned information received into the client's electronic health record.
  • Collect and sort records and documentation received via internal and external sources.
  • Scan paper records into the electronic health record.
  • Process requests from payers, facilities, and other healthcare entities for access to medical records.

What we look for in a Billing Specialist:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous customer service experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent record keeping, filing, and typing skills.
  • Ability to work independently, establish priorities and organize workload.
  • General knowledge of internet navigation and research, email, fax transmission, and copy equipment.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality regulations.
