Arine is Hiring a Remote Director of Platform

The Role:

We are seeking a Director of Platform to join our dynamic team here at Arine. The Director of Platform will manage the Infrastructure and Algorithm teams; and support all Arine launched products with engineering solutions, processes, and documentation to ensure the technical health and success in the marketplace. In close collaboration with the teams, this role initiates, proposes and executes continuous improvements and updates on quality and cost in a broad product definition. 

You will be accountable for:

  • Delivering a scalable and cost effective platform in AWS to meet internal and external SLAs
  • Delivering the Product and Engineering roadmaps on-time and on-budget
  • Executing client specific deliverables on-time
  • Delivering team KPIs to meet Arine's strategic goals

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Continuously identify ways to improve platform stability, scalability, and cost
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency throughout the platform
  • Ensure data security and data governance in AWS
  • Ensure that platform uptime and responsiveness meet internal and external SLAs
  • Work with Technical Project Managers to align resources with deliverable timelines
  • Coordinate with other Engineering and Data Science Managers to deliver cohesive product roadmaps and client implementations
  • Be a part of the strategic roadmap and resource planning
  • Build and manage team KPIs to deliver Arine's strategic goals
  • Provide clear communication of strategy and status across the business stakeholders
  • Develop and implement product lifecycle management, from moving products smoothly from development to production, end-of-life planning, and product phase-outs
  • Build and manage a high performing on-shore and off-shore engineering teams from the technical and people perspectives
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineering talent

Our Ideal Candidate Possesses:

  • BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline
  • 10 years of proven technical skills in Python, developing cloud services in AWS, experience designing microservices architecture, batch processing, databases, developed scalable data-driven platforms, AWS cost optimization, third-party API integrations (e.g. with EHR systems)
  • 10 years of proven high-performance team management experience with demonstrated skills including coaching, feedback, direction, support, and resource allocation
  • 10 years of new product development and launch experience, preferably within a fast-paced technology environment
  • Strong analytical skills and solid grounding in engineering fundamentals, passionate about unit testing and code reviews
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written), laterally with peers, upward with senior management, and with direct staff
  • Demonstrated self-confidence to lead a team of subject matter experts
  • Mastery with requirements management, verification and validation
  • Proven people management skills, building effective teams, and managing resources
  • Demonstrated organizational abilities with a strong ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a quickly changing environment while ensuring rigorous attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to efficiently solve business and product level problems

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Track record of building successful healthcare oriented products
  • Experience with building or integrating with EHR systems
  • Experience with FHIR, HL7, CCDA

Travel and Other Information:

  • Ability to travel to Arine's San Francisco office at least twice per year

The posted range represents the expected salary for this position and does not include any other potential components of the compensation package (including bonus and equity), benefits, and perks. Ultimately, the final pay decision will consider factors such as your experience, job level, location, and other relevant job-related criteria. The salary range for this position is: $180,000-200,000/year.
