Responsibilities:

Responsible for establishing and supervising our pricing department to include current tariffs, RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs. This individual will also manage the processes and strategies of quoting to include multiple KPIs to ensure the company is utilizing the best practices. In addition, the individual will manage transportation procurement with domestic/international carriers and agents.

Specific Job Duties:

Pricing:

• Orchestrate all RFPs, RFIs and RFQs for the entire organization
• Work with marketing to make copy templates for RFPs, RFIs and RFQs
• Develop pricing strategies for all products
• Develop a repository with expiration and review dates for all company tariffs
• Meet with product leaders and their transportation vendors to negotiate and acquire carries tariffs (Our goal is to reduce our procurement by 10%)
• Establish KPIs and monitor all quotes by department
• Improve win ratios every month (continuous improvement)
• Supervise and train all quoters in each department
• Establish a check list of questions to ask by product
• Train the quoters to accurately convert to a shipment file by department.

Requirements

• Minimum of ten years' experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Leadership/mentoring skills including identifying strengths and weaknesses to maximize potential
• Excellent communications skills both verbally and in writing
• Experience in training techniques
• Ability to identify and solve problems in a timely manner.
