Overview
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of Maintenance and Housekeeping staff. They are responsible for department organization, performing maintenance checks, supervising the inspection of all mechanical sections of the building and reporting to building management on all areas. The Maintenance Supervisor is also responsible for the seamless running of all the buildings mechanics, HVAC, elevators, pools, cleanliness, organization of these areas and maintaining a team of energized and motivated professionals. The Maintenance Supervisor also provides exemplary service. They perform all responsibilities while working interdepartmentally, as well as, with external customers.
Responsibilities
Training/Certifications/Licenses:
Completion of college level or vocational school courses in fields of Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC certification or other certifications that may be required.
Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
Three (3) to four (4) years of supervisory experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or similar position required. Strong customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required. Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Computer literacy:
Intermediate command of computer hardware/software is required; specifically, knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Travel and availability requirements:
May be required to travel to obtain job related items. Ability to work extended hours and weekends if required.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift 50lbs. following appropriate safety procedures: Work in an upright standing position for long periods of time. Crawl in small and tight spaces. Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (e.g. heat, cold, wind, rain). Walk and climb stairs. Handle, grasp, feel objects and equipment. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written. Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings are required to meet the job functions. Repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers. Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms. Driving when necessary (required to possess a valid driver's license at all times.) Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level (maximum 12-16 ft).

Working Conditions:
Work will be divided between indoor and outdoor work. The proportion of indoor to outdoor work will fluctuate. May be exposed to weather conditions such as heat, cold or rain while working outdoors.
