Description
- Collaborates with staff to produce schematic/design development packages that meet client expectations
- Researches and recommends materials and finishes to sufficiently convey the design concept
- Ensures all materials follow code and technical requirements
- Develops understanding of design intent and translates the concepts into design details and presentation
- Understands and follow detailed budgets and deadlines established by the client
- Maintains design materials within the studio/library; purge unused or outdated materials and finishes
- Demonstrates an understanding of code requirements in order to assist in preliminary space plans that are both functional and aesthetically appropriate
- Travels to sites for observation and recording of progress
- Assists senior design staff with concept images and presenting creative ideas
- Implements and has mastered the processes and standards established by Aria Group Architects, Inc.
- Continues education to increase knowledge of material selection and design trends
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
- Minimum of 2 years of experience
- Experience in hospitality architecture is a plus
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2017, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat
- Familiarity with Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Illustrator, Newforma
- Understanding of construction documents
