Job Duties

Performs a variety of technical project assignments including core design segments from concept to completion within a wide-range of hospitality sectors. Works in collaboration with the project team to generate design packages and construction documents through technical and design software. Contributes to design renderings through collaboration with the Senior Designer. Assists in developing design features and specific construction details to convey the design intent; edits and revisions. Plots and submits documents for permit and bidding purposes. Research concepts and products for the development of design packages and construction documents. Assists with material and product selections with lead designer. Communicates project status and assists with building technology, life safety, ADA code compliance and design trends.

Responsibilities

• Works in conjunction with design staff to generate construction documents using AutoCAD; generates construction details to properly convey the design intent
• Plots and submits documents for permitting and bidding purpose (producing construction docs)
• Develops accurate and comprehensive construction documents
• Develops specific construction details to convey the design intent; edits and revises construction details as need
• Assists senior staff in surveying sites and recording existing conditions of the location; travels to sites for observation and recording of progress
• Maintains a positive line of communication with senior staff regarding project status
• Collaborates with the team to generate design development packages using technical and/or design software
• Learns and implements the processes and standards established by Aria Group Architects, Inc.
• Researches new products as needed for the development of construction documents
• Continues education to increase knowledge of building technology, life safety, ADA code compliance, and design trends

Requirements

• Masters in Architecture from an accredited school, or foreign equivalent
• 1 year experience as architectural designer that includes hospitality industry and will accept any job title
• Any experience must include: AutoCAD and/or Revit, Adobe Photoshop; InDesign and Microsoft Office, SketchUp, Grasshopper and/or Rhinoceros; Enscape and/or Lumion 3D rendering.
