Job Title: Handyman

The Handyman position will maintain company facilities by carrying out cleaning and maintenance duties, The housekeeper will ensure a neat, clean, and sanitary environment for our staff clients, and visitors in all public and private areas.

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

General Duties:

o Repair doors, door locks, and windows.

o Replace lights, light fixtures, light ballast, electrical outlets and light switches

o Spackle and paint offices, dorm rooms and hallways, etc.

o Assemble office furniture

o Perform minor plumbing, electrical and construction repairs.

o Service and maintain building equipment

o Snow Removal

o Respond to emergency Maintenance needs as required

o Floor Maintenance – Vacuum, shampoo carpets, sweep, mop and polish floors

o Clean, disinfect and remove garbage for building common areas, bathrooms and offices.

o Perform other related duties in the department as assigned.

Qualifications/Criteria:

· 2 years of custodial/Handyman Experience

· Knowledge of building maintenance practices, supplies and equipment

· Must be able to stand for long periods-of-time.

· Must be able to lift more the 50 lbs.

· Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

· Must have a valid NYC Driver’s license.

· Must be able to speak and write effectively

Must have general knowledge to commercial cleaning

Education:

· High School diploma or GED

Pay: $42,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
