General purpose of the job
Responsible for supervising employees, properly batching concrete in accordance with all specifications and mix designs and for the management and physical operation of the plant and surrounding property. Operates COMMAND concrete batching system to prepare batches of concrete in accordance with mix design and quality. Responsible for plant maintenance and housekeeping, paperwork processing and plant cleanup. Individual accountabilities
Monitor batch screens and receives orders from dispatch via computer.
Batches concrete by operating and controlling batching equipment to produce specified concrete mix according to customer requests and design specifications Loads ready mix trucks for delivery as scheduled to meet concrete orders from customers and communicates with drivers on an accurate and timely basis to ensure delivery of concrete products.
Ensures adequate and accurate inventory of raw materials to meet customer demands. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly physical measurement of storage silos, aggregate stockpiles, bulk admixture tanks and value-added products such as fibers, dye, and expansion joints.
Directly supports and manages hourly employees Ready-Mix Drivers and Equipment Operators assigned to plant reviews and approves payroll, receives call-ins.
Holds individuals accountable to expectations and performance.
Provides constructive feedback and opportunity for improvement, however, takes corrective actions when necessary, following progressive disciplinary process to ensure consistent and fair treatment of employees and performs annual reviews.
Performs month-end inventory.
Review driver’s logs and inspection sheets daily. Schedule trucks and compiles /publishes periodic production reports.
Ensuring good customer relations, by communicating with customer and/or operation personnel any problems / issues in a timely fashion.
Answers telephone, performs customer service duties, documenting company records.
Must be able to run front end loader, as needed.
Required to work a schedule that varies from week to week.
Ability to work extended hours and irregular schedules.
Required to work weekends. Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Technical knowledge and certifications
Must have ACI Level 1Field Testing Technician and Concrete Batch Plant Operator Certifications within 90 Days of hire.
Working Knowledge of OSHA/DOT Regulation.
3 years progressive experience with ready mix concrete production, associated with equipment and fleet management preferred. Area of experience
3-6 Years. Languages
English C2
Annual Salary Range from $51,320.51 to $71,278.48
