General purpose of the job
The Maintenance Manager’s primary responsibility is to ensure the long term reliability of all plant assets including equipment, buildings, structures, and systems within budgeted cost targets. This is accomplished by serving as mentor and champion of the plant’s maintenance philosophy. Specific attention needs to be placed on managing the short-term and long-term needs of the operation and the maintenance personnel in a safe and efficient manner. This position is expected to take a leadership role in safety and continuous improvement. The Maintenance manager is also responsible for developing a competent, effective staff through capable leadership and sound personnel administration.
Individual accountabilities
Education
Degree in technical field is required (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Degree is preferred), or equivalent experience.
Technical knowledge and certifications
Area of experience
Maintenance experience in the cement manufacturing or related industry.
