General purpose of the job
Receives orders and arranges for the delivery of concrete to customers in a timely, accurate and courteous manner. Interacting with customers, personnel and drivers, in order to coordinate daily workload with plant personnels, maintaining complete and accurate documentation of records, reports and sales. Individual accountabilities
Supports the daily operations of the dispatch office to include directing drivers to and from the job site to ensure timely delivery of concrete and/or materials to customers. Directs area personnel as how to schedule Mixer Operators for upcoming jobs, including when they begin and end.
Receives and processes products sales orders from customers for concrete and/or material orders.
Ensures each job order has the correct raw material mix design according to the specifications submitted by the customer, reporting any rejected loads to the Operations and Division Manager. In order to coordinate any returned concrete with respective plant manager to resell or dispose.
Maintains the mix design inventory including developing and implementing new mix designs, adjusting current mix designs and ensuring the correct mix design is used according to the job's specifications, in order to properly use raw materials and meet the demands of customers.
Encourages a positive working relationship between the dispatch office and area personnel within a centralized area to ensure customers' jobs are serviced according to job specifications, maintaining appropriate discipline and compliance with all applicable rules and policies.
Conducts employee performance reviews, hires employees and administers discipline and trains dispatch team as needed, in order to support the needs of the operations in relation with the personnel.
Encourages a positive working relationship with customers to ensure their jobs are properly serviced; including identifying serving issues and resolving customer disputes as they arise.
Advises the customer on the products needed to meet the job's required specifications, in order to gurantee their needs are met.
Ensures all orders, deliveries and materials inventories for the area are recorded, in order to keep a comprehensive data base.
Creates a plan and schedules drivers, in order to optimize deliveries, guaranteeing the deadlines are met.
Communicates daily to the Operations and Sales Managers any problems encountered with customers, area personnel, equipment and any matters relating to the operation of the business, in order for them to be addressed accordingly.
Respond to all accidents and incidents, safety procedures, and emergencies in an expeditious manner.
Inputs all order entries and batching functions on the behalf of the company.
Execute all duties or special projects as assigned. Education
Associate Degree or Certificate in Business, Concrete or related subject. Technical knowledge and certifications
Dispatching, working knowledge of Concrete products, production processes and local area.
Technical knowledge and certifications: SAP.
Must be computer literate; Proficient in MS office suite preferred.
Understands accounting and financial statements.
Adapt to changing work environment.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Negotiation skills, Mature, tactful, positive, professional attitude.
Excellent interpersonal skills. excellent public relations skills, ability to get along well with customers, management, suppliers and other co-workers. Area of experience
0-3 years.
Prefer dispatching, working knowledge of Concrete products. Languages
English: C2: Advanced - Native
Annual Salary Range from $58,097.98 to $80,691.52
