The Primary responsibility of the Waste Tech is to remove trash, dirty linen, bio hazardous materials, pharmacy waste and recycling from all areas of the hospital and place it in properly in its designated location. Performs any other Environmental Services related duties as needed by his/her direct supervisor and or management.
SHIFT AND SCHEDULE

• 3:00 pm - 11:30 PM;
• Rotating Weekends Required

PAY RATE: $15.00/hr
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

• Understands departmental organizational chart
• Understands Departmental dress code
• Knows proper hand washing techniques
• Understanding of methods to prevent cross contamination
• The wearing of appropriate PPE
• Knowledge of proper use/disposal of gloves

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Equivalent work experience is a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.

The individual must be able to:

• Stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift, see, speak and hear. Lifting is limited to 35 lbs. for clinical staff and to 50 lbs. for non-clinical staff.
• The individual must use an assisted-lift device or get another individual(s) to assist with the lift that is over these maximum limits.

WASTE TECH REQUIREMENTS:

• Background check conducted
• Must have a min of (2) years of relative experience before applying
• Reliable transportation
• History of no call offs / good attendance prior roles
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Authorized to work in the US.
• High school degree
