Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly qualified Air Force Test and Evaluation Subject Matter Expert to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in providing technical and administrative support for classified Air Force Foreign Materiel Program (FMP) activities, focusing on ground and airborne electronic components, subsystems, and systems. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, including offering expert advice on aerospace weapon systems, creating and reviewing technical documentation, and formulating technical concepts and methodologies for FMP tests and projects. You will also play a pivotal role in FMP weapon system acquisition and exploitation design and analysis, including the development of funding strategies and recommendations for program development, initiation, modification, or termination.

In addition, you will leverage your analytical skills and management expertise to determine cost-effective approaches and procedures for achieving FMP objectives. Your role will also involve reviewing, evaluating, and recommending FMP procedures, as well as providing guidance on policy related to the acquisition, exploitation, and deployment of foreign threat systems. As a recognized expert in air-to-air and air-to-ground combat operations and weapon systems, you will offer invaluable insights into alternative courses of action, operational effectiveness, and the development of new tactics. Furthermore, you will be responsible for ensuring that FMP acquisition and exploitation programs conform to technical and programmatic requirements, overseeing the FMP budget, and reporting on weapon system capabilities and vulnerabilities.

Your role will extend to assessing the impact of emerging technologies on FMP policies, projects, and procedures and structuring potential solutions for resource limitations. You will conduct concept studies, feasibility assessments, risk evaluations, and alternative approach development, while also maintaining project planning documentation and program research. Collaboration with the Air Staff will be a crucial aspect of this position, requiring coordination on foreign materiel requirements, acquisition/exploitation/test plans, and reports, with the application of your technical expertise to review, approve, and coordinate these documents. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (an Advanced degree is preferred) and have extensive experience in aerospace and defense, particularly in relation to FMP activities. Strong analytical, strategic thinking and communication skills are essential, along with a deep understanding of Air Force policies and procedures. A security clearance is also a requirement for this position. Join our team and play a pivotal role in advancing critical Air Force programs while furthering your career in the aerospace and defense industry.
