Role Description

We are seeking enthusiastic, entrepreneurial, responsible and trustworthy Buyers with deep knowledge of the trading card market. This role is perfect for those who live and breathe trading cards and are ready to turn their passion into a lucrative full-time career.

Key Responsibilities

• Market Expertise: Utilize your deep understanding of cards (basketball, baseball, football, Pokémon, soccer, hockey, etc.) to source high-value trading cards
• Negotiation: Employ superior negotiation skills to secure the best deals, maximizing profit margins while maintaining high volume acquisitions
• Detail-Oriented Approach: Meticulously evaluate potential purchases and accurately report on transactions using our tech platforms
• Review spreadsheets and make decisions on potential lot purchases
• Go to card shops and events to meet new contacts in the hobby
• Spend weekly budget by acquiring types of cards set by the business
• Set appointments to buy from private collectors
• Collaborate with team on inventory mix and cards to target
• Build relationships with dealers for repeatable business
• Buy online on eBay and other auction platforms
• Will require travel as needed

Qualifications

• 10 years collecting cards preferred
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Extensive knowledge of the trading card market and a passion for trading cards
• Proven negotiation skills and a track record of successful deals
• Tech-savvy with the ability to work with advanced reporting systems and dashboards
• Entrepreneurial spirit, with a focus on detail and a knack for identifying value

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
