Job Description

A food distribution company is seeking a person who is looking to start a career with a growing company. This company is offering the opportunity to learn the skill of cutting and preparing seafood to customer satisfaction.

You will work Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 2 : 30 p.m.

Job Duties :

• Efficiently process fish to customer specifications, while obtaining highest possible quality yields
• Properly package and present hand cut items
• Clean and sanitize the entire area and tools
• Inspect all equipment, tools, machines, scales, and hoses on a daily basis
• Ensure all labels are clear and readable and have the country of origin on them
• Maintain SQF standards
• Perform other duties as required

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications :

• Prior experience working as a Food Prep in a restaurant is a plus
• Must be willing to learn to clean, bone, slice, scale, and fillet multiple varieties of fresh fish delivered daily to our location
• Must have the ability to lean to identify products by size, type, or product code
• Must be able to follow safe work and sanitation standards, cut sheets, and special instructions
• Must possess basic math and reasoning skills
• Must be able to read, speak, and write English
• Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to move or lift up to 70 pounds, spend 6 to 8 hours walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, and be comfortable working in a cool / cold warehouse environment
