Ardurra is Hiring a Digital Facilities & Infrastructure Manager Near Dallas, TX

Ardurra is seeking an experienced Digital Facilities & Infrastructure Manager to join our Dallas, TX team.

Primary Function: 

Under the general direction of the Sr. Projects Control Systems Manager, the Digital Facilities & Infrastructure (DFI) Manager assists in developing and implementing industry accepted standards, processes and procedures for Digital Facilities and Infrastructure (DFI) applications and services used in facility and infrastructure data modeling and data distribution activities. Digital Facilities and Infrastructure includes Building Information Modeling (BIM), Civil Information Modeling (CIM), Virtual Design and Construction (VDC), 4D scheduling, 5D Cost estimation, and Asset Management (AM).

Primary Duties: 

  • Sets performance standards for the Board, Division, and ensures operations achieve or exceed performance metrics. Defines the scope & requirements for each project and establishes governance to ensure deliverables are compliant.
  • Demonstrate ability to produce 4D Schedules.
  • Assists in the development and management of DFI standards for design, construction, commissioning, maintenance, and operations at DFW.
  • Establishes DFI roadmap, process, process implementation and management.
  • Consults with users, management, vendors and other DFI staff to determine needs and system requirements. Provides direction and support to designers and contractors for integration of the program’s DFI policy.
  • Works with project teams to integrate DFI into the Department’s Project Lifecycle Management (PLM) process in order to more clearly communicate information.
  • Performs collection and analysis from survey related data for integration into DFI applications and GIS.
  • Monitors and guides the model advancement and utilization process from initial/conceptual design phase through design, construction, commissioning, operations, and maintenance.
  • Works with IT to establish equipment and technology requirements to perform DFI work.
  • Assists in the development of a training plan to familiarize DFW staff with the basics of DFI applications.
  • Works with project teams to integrate submittals, manufacturer’s data and as-built information into the BIM/CIM model to enhance the model’s Facilities Management capabilities.
  • Champions continuous improvement, including devising new strategies and new opportunities for DFI application use.
  • Provides DFI system/model support with the incorporation of IOT Sensors and future development of digital twin.
  • Demonstrates personal accountability and responsibility.
  • Liaison for DFI progress and communications.
  • Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, and challenges.

EDUCATION AND MINIMUM REQUIREMEMNTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management or related field.
  • Four (4) years of experience in, Computer Aided Design (CAD) or Survey.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
  • Knowledge and understanding of design, planning, engineering, architectural and contractual requirements of large and diverse construction projects.
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting training sessions on policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of 4D Scheduling
  • Ability to strategize, structure, develop and deliver on an idea/vison through a roadmap.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels, both within and outside the organization.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly, both orally and in writing, in both general and technical terms, with Board staff, contractor/consultants, and senior management.
  • Ability to prepare written reports and presentations and present them to senior staff.
  • Autodesk software experience including BIM, CIM, and VDC

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  •  Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
  • Ability to obtain Department of Homeland Security Customs and Border Protection (CBP) security access clearance within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for CBP security access clearance upon each CBP security access renewal.
  • Individual will co-locate at DFW International Airport.

DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Associated General Contractors of America, Certification in Management of Building Information Modeling

EFFORT: 

  • Sits for prolonged periods of time.
  • Uses keyboard devices and computer monitors.
  • Exchanges information by telephone, computer, in writing and in person.
  • Uses substantial reasoning in problem solving.
  • Drives to locations on/off Airport property.
  • Works in an office and “field” environment. The field environment includes but is not limited to the Terminals (all areas), Board facilities, tenant facilities, construction sites and the AOA.
  • Be able to move and set up equipment both handheld and stationary. Equipment may weigh up to 50-lbs.
