Job Description:

ARDEX Americas (www.ArdexAmericas.com), is the Global industry leader in the manufacturing and development of high-performance specialty building materials.

We are immediately hiring for a National Accounts Manager to identify, secure, and manage ARDEX specifications with retail chains stores, restaurants, hotels, leading Healthcare/Education systems and institutions, and other end-users that are frequently involved in multiple construction projects across the country. Additionally, you will drive and secure opportunities within the PreFab industry.

Reporting to the Business Manager, East, this position will be based at our corporate campus, located 20 minutes North of Pittsburgh International airport, with approximately 35% overnight national travel by air and vehicle. Experienced candidates located in major cities / close to city airports, are also invited to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • New National Account Customer Acquisition: Obtain appointments and conduct presentations to various persons at the end user level such as Directors of Construction, Architectural Managers, V.P. Store Planning & Design and Specification Writers.
  • Manage existing National Account relationships as the primary corporate liaison between the National Account and ARDEX. This includes but is not limited to specifications updates, new product introductions, and facilitating communication between appropriate parties, and administrative functions.
  • Acquire new business opportunities within the Offsite/Prefab/Modular sector. This includes but is not limited to meeting with potential Offsite manufacturing customers and related target entities. Work closely with colleagues who are aligned with this initiative.
  • Collaborate with all departments connected to the various initiatives including Sales/Sales Management, Technical, Marketing and Product Management.
  • Provide general specification support in select markets. This includes following up with Architectural request, providing CEU’s and project follow-through support.
  • Coordinate and participate in national and regional National Account/Offsite/Architectural trade shows.
  • Demonstrate Technically proficiency in all product categories including substrate preparation, tile and stone installation systems, surfaces, engineered concrete repair, and adhesives.
  • High level of understanding of construction project data bases such Dodge and CRM systems.
Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years architectural sales or national account experience is essential.
  • Familiarity with architectural specifications and construction design elements is essential.
  • Experience with building products or flooring installation products is essential.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of energy and enthusiasm for the business and be customer driven and professional.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, listening, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively present in front of large groups.
  • Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM Systems, Outlook and the Internet is essential.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Education:

  • Minimum four (4) year college degree or equivalent work experience
