Ardent Federal Credit Union is Hiring a BRANCH SUPERVISOR Near Philadelphia, PA

General Purpose:

Supervise branch staff to create a welcoming environment and a memorable experience through each member interaction. Responsible for matching the credit union's products with the needs of members; takes a proactive approach in selling products that meet the member needs in an effort to meet sales goals. Also responsible for growing new and maintaining existing business in the branch.


Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the management of daily operations of the branch and ensures that procedures are followed in alignment with credit union’s expectations.
  • Assist in the development of a highly motivated team and results-oriented individuals through effective leadership practices.
  • Help to ensure adequate staffing levels are in place to maintain efficient team performance.
  • Conduct and document individual monthly coaching/mentoring sessions to develop cross selling skills and promote career development.
  • Promote positive attitudes, cooperation, teamwork and desire to cross-sell credit union products and services.
  • Support the direction and coordination of programs, projects, and activities in assigned branch.
  • Monitor, maintain knowledge and ensure compliance for IRA’s, Loans, OFAC, deposit, products/services and policies.
  • Oversee ATM, Shared Branch, and Branch Settlement.
  • Able to open and close the branch, when needed.
  • Responsible for the QC all applications


Other Duties:

  • Complete and submit weekly sales plans documenting weekly results to Market Manager and/or VP Service and Sales.
  • Develop strategies to generate feedback on new ideas to improve service effectiveness of the branch on an ongoing basis.
  • Responsible for proper and timely deposit of credit union funds.
  • Assist with the management of the branch office with responsibility for its overall physical maintenance and security.
  • Research and resolves member problems and complaints in a timely fashion.
  • Locate areas of improvement and propose corrective actions that meet challenges and leverage growth opportunities.
  • Network to improve the presence and reputation of the branch and company.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Job Requirements (Knowledge/Abilities):

  • Dynamic personality with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Thorough knowledge of organization's policies/procedures and credit union's service philosophy.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit union products and services.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit union's in-house computer system.
  • Thorough knowledge of credit union deposit and lending functions.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide courteous and professional service to members.
  • Ability to assist with supervising, organizing, training and evaluating staff.
  • Demonstrated sales ability and capacity to encourage sales functions through professional leadership skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety and security procedures for false alarms, robberies, bomb threats and extortion.


Job Requirements (Education/Experience):

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Financial Service experience normally acquired through at least 5 years working in a lending/Customer Service capacity in a Financial Institution.

Some management experience preferred
