We are seeking an Jr. Accountant  to become an integral part of our accounting division at Arden Engineering Constructors! This individual will be responsible utilizing standard department processes while focusing on customer and employee satisfaction. This position is located in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

• Essential Duties:
  • Perform and maintain Construction Billing flow
  • Perform and maintain Subcontractor AP
  • Serve as liaison between accounting division and project managers to ensure invoice integrity.
  • Enter invoices into accounting software (Sage paperless).
  • Manage lien waivers for subcontractors and general contractors.
  • Reconcile subcontract and vendor invoices with committed costs.
  • Manage insurance requirements for all subcontractors.
  • Set up new jobs and contracts in accounting software.
  • Monthly AIA pencils and billings.
  • Enter change orders and schedule of values.
  • Back up for entering Certified payrolls on various contractor portals.
  • Back up for union payroll and benefit payments.
  • Assist with other administrative and accounting duties as needed.
• Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills to effectively communicate with employees, customers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Experience using Timberline project financial software or similar software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
