Position Description:

We are seeking a skilled individual to operate our CNC Plasma or Trumpf Fiber Laser cutting machine. As a machine operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the equipment to ensure optimal performance. Your key duties will include loading programs, selecting lenses, and calculating machine specifications based on the type and thickness of the material being used. Additionally, you will be tasked with preparing products for other departments and keeping the work area organized. In this fast-paced environment, you must be able to follow complex instructions closely.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operate the Messer CNC Plasma or Trumpf Fiber Laser cutter

• Load material for job runs and perform material handling functions

• Measure completed work pieces to ensure they meet specifications

• Read work orders and blueprints to determine cutting lines, dimensions, and tolerances

• Maintain the work area, tools, and equipment

Requirements:

• 1-2 years of experience operating CNC Laser/Plasma equipment in a metal manufacturing environment preferred

• Experience reading flat print drawings

• Forklift experience

• Ability to lift 70 lbs., stand for long periods of time, and work in a hot environment

• Must have reliable transportation to Bradley, IL

• Ability to work independently after initial training

Experience Required:

• 5 years of experience operating CNC Laser equipment

• 5 years of experience as a Laser Operator
