Arcosa Aggregates is seeking applicants for the position of a Loader Operator . We are growing and expanding our staff and looking for individuals to join our team who is looking for long term employment.

Functions / Duties :

• Perform pre-shift inspection, maintain equipment repairs / maintenance records, and ensure that records are turned in to your supervisor.
• Perform proper workplace examinations to minimize safety hazards and identify mechanical issues
• Assist with safety audits.
• Must be qualified to work in a safety sensitive environment.
• Operate heavy construction equipment in a professional & efficient manner to maintain production goals.
• Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition
• Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations.
• Maintain strong communications with other plant employees and operators
• Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned
• Some local travel may be required to help at different local sites.
• Typical work schedule consists of daytime hours Monday through Friday, may be required to work overtime. Saturdays may be required based on production needs

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Must have years Loader Operator experience. Preferably with Caterpillar and
• Ability to accept responsibility for his / her actions specifically Safety related
• Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance
• Positive, Team-based attitude

Work Environment / Physical Demands :

• Must be able to meet all MSHA safety requirements and adhere to company safety policies.
• Must be able to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions including heat in excess of degrees, cold and rain.
• While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
• Must be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time; grip, climb, reach, shovel, squat, crawl, or pull, push, as well as bend and lift up to pounds.

Some shoveling may be required.
