Arcosa Marine is searching for a Planner/Scheduler in our Ashland City, TN barge manufacturing plant. As a Planner/Scheduler, you will perform as a support between Accounting and Production within our barge manufacturing plant. This position will work within supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, basic accounting, and labor tracking.

Arcosa Marine Products, Inc., is part of Arcosa’s Inland Barge Group, and is a leading manufacturer of barges used to transport cargo on U.S. inland waterways. Arcosa Marine Products manufactures dry cargo barges, including flat-deck and hopper barges, that are used to transport a variety of products including grain, coal, and aggregates. Arcosa Marine Products also manufactures tank barges that carry petroleum, fertilizer, ethanol, chemicals, and other liquid cargoes. It is the largest U.S. manufacturer of fiberglass hopper barge covers used primarily on grain barges. Additionally, Arcosa Marine Products provides a full line of deck hardware to the marine industry, including hatches, castings, and winches for towboats and dock facilities.

What you will do:

• Attend daily production meetings.
• Schedule, plan and oversee outside contractors for barge services.
• Analyze product cost and maintain part inventory for third party vendors.
• Maintain a list of customer owned inventory and provide risk analysis to Plant Accountant.
• Run showcase reports on efficiencies, standard cost and labor variances.
• Maintain WIP tracker reports for production teams, as well as maintain production and labor historical records.
• Run reports, oversee schedules, maintain labor cost and budgets, coordinate material and shipping schedule all within the plants BPCS system.
• Ability to count and use inventory computer program to update counts.
• Maintain repair and troubleshoot all plant-wide IT problems, including but not limited to:
  • Phone network
  • Time clocks
  • Onsite computers
  • Network access
  • Oversee all onsite IT hardware inventory levels, ordering and maintenance

What you will need:

• Minimum 3 years of manufacturing experience in Planning, Accounting or an Analyst role.
• IT troubleshooting or network repair is highly recommended.
• Advanced knowledge of computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with purchase order and tracking systems.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work with many levels within the organization.
