Specific duties and responsibilities:
- Understand all necessary Archway paperwork, and plans for daily activities.
- Provide guidance to children at all times.
- Help to develop a monthly calendar of events.
- Keep record of attendance and number of children in the program at all times.
- Complete all required training including but not limited to monthly meetings, CPR/first aid, archway orientation, and summer training meetings.
- Actively listen to children.
- Ensure a positive interaction between both individual and group children.
- Help assist Supervisor with weekly pickup at Just Kids office.
- Learn all pertinent information (accident reports, parent and school comments) as outlined in policies and procedures including copies to the District Manager and Office.
- Participate in setting up the room space with activity centers both am and pm reflecting the mission and goals of Just Kids.
- Learn to promote professionalism between staff and families.
- Arrive and depart from assigned schools at scheduled times.
- Abide by Just Kids dress code.
- Fill in as the Supervisor in the event that the Supervisor is absence from program.
- Understand and use positive behavior techniques that help each child to develop the ability to be self-disciplined.
- Develop a warm and nurturing relationship with children and the parents.
- If your own child attends Just Kids program, ensure this responsibility does not interfere with job responsibilities.
- Help the Supervisor to resolve conflicts among staff, parents, and children effectively and in a professional manner.
- Greet parents daily and promote parent involvement.
- Substitute as needed in other Just Kids Programs.
