Archway Apothecary is Hiring a Pharmacy Technician (Full-Time) Near Covington, LA
Archway Apothecary, LLC is a compounding pharmacy located in Covington, La. We are looking for a full time Louisiana licensed Pharmacy Technician to join our team. We are open Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM. We are in immediate need of a Data Entry Technician with Customer Service .
QUALIFICATIONS
* Active registration with Louisiana Board of Pharmacy REQUIRED - Please include license number on resume
* Ability to work according to all USP compounding standards, State and Federal Laws, as well as HIPAA guidelines
* Knowledge of state laws regulating pharmaceutical compounding practice preferred
* Proficient at typing prescriptions accurately
* Experience with PK Software preferred
* Ability to Multi-Task
SKILLS/ DUTIES
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Answer telephones and respond to doctor offices questions or requests
* Data entry of prescriptions into our pharmacy system
* Assist pharmacist with retrieval of prescription files and other records
* Knowledge of medication dosage measurement
* Ensure correct formula selection according to the prescription following quality assurance guidelines
* Make sure the pharmacist on duty has confirmed the formulation in accordance to the script before starting the compounding preparation
* Place and confirm that the beyond use date on the patient’s product label is correct
* Send prepared compound and documentation to supervising pharmacist for verification and sign off
* Execute quality assurance procedures on assigned randomly sampled scripts and document results following standards
* Responsible for daily cleaning and logs in accordance to established policy
* Daily and Monthly Inventory reporting
* Other duties as assigned or requested by management

* Two years or more experience as pharmacy technician preferred.
