Job description
The Athletic Trainer will work on-site at our client’s location in Albion, IL. This position is open to anyone with one of the following credentials: Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant or Athletic Trainer. You will work with patients to help improve their movement and alleviate their pain.
Specific responsibilities
- Diagnose patients by assessing and examining
- Develop individualized treatment plans
- Educating patients about treatment processes and maintenance techniques
- Charting on our EMR system, Tebra
- Prevention education (e.g. leading a class on how to do preventative stretches/exercises)
Requirements
- Certified Athletic Trainer license in the state of Illinois
- Experience with an EMR system
- Must be comfortable working in a startup environment
- Team player mentality - comfortable working and building relationships with others in small clinic setting (reporting to Clinic Lead, working alongside a Medical Assistant)

- Holds a passion for athletic training and improving the wellbeing of patients
- Medical and caring skills, to deal with employee medical problems and care for them in a comprehensive way
- Ability to establish rapport and trust with employees and management at client site
- Flexibility to work in a startup company environment: adapting to help out when unforeseen problems arise
- Discretion and commitment to confidentiality and careful communication
- [Preferred] Fluent in or ability to speak Spanish
